A New Beginning!

I'm a teacher, which works out perfectly since I am off for the summer.  It's time to get my life back on track!  I'm working with an endocrinologist to get my thyroid hormones in check.  I had a total thyroidectomy in April 2013, so I rely solely on medication for thyroid hormones.  I am at my heaviest; a whopping 230 pounds.  I'm getting married in November and would LOVE to drop 2 dress sizes before then (that's the most they can alter my wedding dress).  I decided I'm going to start following the Body for Life for Women 12 week challenge.  I'll be [hopefully] exercising 6 days per week, with Sunday being a rest day.  There will be 3 days of cardio and 3 days of weight training.  I'll be counting calories, and aiming for an average of 1500 calories per day.  I will NOT let the exhaustion and pain of this disease keep me from being healthy!!
